MoLock

Limits kids understand. Answers from your phone.

Create a family, give each child a profile on their PC, and set fair rules: a daily allowance, a bedtime that locks calmly, and categories that stay closed. When time runs out, your child can ask for more — and you answer with one tap from the dashboard, the bot or a push notification.

01 / 08How it works

Invite. Set the rules. Stay in the loop.

Family is part of your MoLock Account. The rules run on the child's PC even offline; the dashboard is where you change them.

  1. 01Step 1/3

    Create your family

In the dashboard, open Family and invite other adults or children by link or QR code — up to six members with Premium.

  2. 02Step 2/3

Bind a child profile to a PC

Pick the child's PC — and their own Windows user if they have one — then set a daily limit, bedtime and blocked categories.

  3. 03Step 3/3

    Answer requests

When time is up, the PC offers "Ask for more time". You get it in the dashboard, the bot or a push notification: +15, +30, +60 minutes or no.

02 / 08What it does

Clear rules. Calm enforcement.

Parental controls work when children understand them. MoLock explains every limit on screen and gives a fair way to ask.

  • Daily limits

A daily allowance with a different value for weekends; only active time counts.

  • Schedules & bedtime

School nights, weekends, bedtime — the PC locks with MoLock's calm lock screen.

  • Category blocking

Games, social, video or adult categories — the same engine as Focus, per child.

  • Safe search hint

Encourages the safe-search setting in browsers on the child's PC.

  • Ask for more time

A button on the PC sends a request with an optional reason; you approve or decline.

  • Weekly report

Time per day and per category, requests and bedtimes — to talk about, not to punish.

  • PC location (with consent)

See where the child's PC is, only after a consent screen on that PC.

  • Tamper alerts

If someone tries to switch protection off on the child's PC, you're told.

03 / 08The family page

Everyone at a glance. One tap to decide.

/me/family/ shows each member, each child's PC and the time left today, with pending requests on top.

  • Owner and helpersInvite another parent or a grandparent to help; the owner keeps full control.
  • Per-child rulesA 9-year-old and a 15-year-old need different limits — each profile is separate.
  • Local protection never stopsThe rules live on the PC; they keep working without internet and sync when it returns.

04 / 08Privacy

Supervision, not surveillance.

Family shows time and limits — never what your child writes, reads or watches inside an app. Reports reach your dashboard sealed with your account key.

  • No screenshots, no keystrokes

Time is measured per app, site name and category — nothing is recorded from the screen or keyboard.

  • Location only with consent

A consent screen on the child's PC comes first; you can switch location off at any time.

  • Sealed reports

Daily totals and requests are end-to-end encrypted to the family owner's account.

05 / 08Dashboard & bot

Requests reach you where you are.

Pick the channel for family alerts — dashboard, bot, push or email. Every answer is applied on the child's PC within seconds when it's online.

  • "Ask for more time": ✅ +15 · +30 · +60 min or ⛔ — each button works once and the message updates with the result.
  • The weekly report arrives on the channel you choose, every week.
  • Tamper alerts are treated as security messages and always get through.

06 / 08Limits

Exactly what it does. And what it doesn't.

  • A Premium feature

Family needs a Premium serial on the account. Everything else in MoLock keeps working on Free.

  • Windows PCs only

Profiles apply to the PCs where MoLock is installed — not phones, tablets or consoles.

  • Separate Windows users help

On a shared PC, a separate Windows user for the child keeps your own sessions out of the limits.

  • Talk first

No setting replaces a conversation. Explain the rules — the "ask for more time" button is there to keep it fair.

Is Family free?

Family is a Premium feature, with up to 6 members by default. Everything else in MoLock stays free.

How does my child ask for more time?

Can I see what my child types or their messages?

No. Family shows time per app, site name and category, requests and bedtimes only — no screenshots, keystrokes or messages. The PC's location appears only after a consent screen on the child's PC.
