Summary
- Use MoLock only on PCs you own or are authorised to manage, to protect your privacy — never to invade someone else's.
- Core protection is free. Premium is optional and comes with a serial that covers a set number of PCs; nothing is paid on the site.
- Your mail, files and family data are yours; what is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot read.
- Abuse — spam, unlawful monitoring, getting around limits — can lead to a warning, suspension or ban. Even then, local locking on your PC never stops; only cloud services do.
Agreement and who we are
MoLock is a screen-lock and privacy app for Windows developed by Mahmoud Mohamed in Egypt ("we", "us"). "The service" means the app and everything we provide on 7ot.app and its former addresses. By using the service, creating an account or activating a serial you agree to these terms. If you use MoLock on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may accept them for it.
Accounts and eligibility
- An account is optional; the app works on the PC without one. You must be an adult under the laws of your country to create an account. Parents may add their children as child profiles under their own account with Family.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in methods safe: password, passkeys, recovery codes and your Telegram account. Because much of your data is encrypted to your account key, losing both your password and your recovery codes can mean losing that data for good.
- Don't create accounts to impersonate others, or multiple accounts to get around plan limits or a previous ban.
Acceptable use
MoLock is a powerful tool: it photographs people who try to unlock a PC, controls PCs remotely and manages children's screen time. You therefore must not:
- install or use it on a PC you don't own or aren't entitled to manage, to secretly monitor another adult without their knowledge, or in breach of the privacy and image-recording laws of your country;
- use Family & parental controls on anyone other than your minor children or children in your legal care;
- send spam, unsolicited bulk mail, fraud or phishing from a 7ot.app address, or impersonate others;
- store or share unlawful content through files, share links or mail, including malware and any content that exploits children;
- attempt to break into, disrupt or overload the service, or to access other people's accounts or PCs;
- get around plan limits or serial checks, modify or reverse-engineer the app to bypass paid features, or generate or guess serials;
- resell the service or offer it to others as a commercial service without our written permission.
7ot.app mail
- A name@7ot.app address belongs to your account and can't be transferred. Some names are reserved, and we may refuse or withdraw a name that is misleading or impersonates an organisation or brand.
- Mail is subject to daily sending limits, message-size and storage limits according to your plan, and automated abuse protection. We may pause sending temporarily if we detect spam-like activity.
- If a mailbox is reset for a violation, or the account is deleted, the mailbox and its messages are permanently deleted.
Plans, Premium and serials
- The Free plan is available to everyone at no cost. We enforce each plan's limits (PCs, storage, mail, remote control and more) on our servers as shown on the Premium page, and may change them in future with notice in the app or on the site.
- Premium comes with a serial sold directly by MoLock's developer. No payment takes place on the site; the terms of sale agreed at purchase (price, duration, number of PCs and any refund) apply.
- Each serial covers up to a set number of PCs, for a set period or for life as stated at purchase. A PC has at most one serial, and you may move a PC to another serial or release its slot from the dashboard within reasonable limits.
- A serial is personal: don't publish it, resell it or share it beyond the PCs it covers. After 5 wrong tries in an hour, entries pause for an hour.
- We may suspend or revoke a serial shown to be stolen, leaked or used in breach of these terms. When a serial expires or is revoked, the PC returns to the Free features without your data being deleted, although new uploads or sends may pause if you are above the Free limits.
Your data and content
- What you put into the service — files, notes, mail and family data — remains yours. You only grant us the permission needed to store it, move it and show it to you and to those you share it with.
- Much of your data is end-to-end encrypted or stored encrypted to your account key, so we cannot read or review it. In those cases we rely on reports and technical signals (such as size and sending rate), not on reading content.
- We handle your data as described in the privacy policy, including what each feature keeps in version 3.0. We don't sell your data and we show no ads.
- Keep copies of important files; the service is not a substitute for backups.
Warnings, suspension and bans
If you break these terms or put the service or other people at risk, we may take proportionate action. Every action is recorded with its reason, and we normally notify you in the dashboard and by email or the bot:
- a warning explaining the violation and what needs to change;
- a suspension until a date or indefinitely: the account's cloud services stop (dashboard, remote control, mail, sync and family), and sign-in shows a clear notice with the reason and a way to contact us;
- a permanent ban for serious or repeated violations, which also blocks registering again with the same Telegram account or email;
- supporting measures where needed: signing out everywhere, unlinking a PC, resetting the mailbox or revoking an abused serial.
Important: suspending or banning an account never stops local locking on your PC — it keeps protecting its owner and your password works as usual. If you believe an action was a mistake, contact us using the details below and we'll review it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and secure, but it is provided "as is" and may pause for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. We may add, change or retire features, and we'll announce important changes in advance in the app or on the site. App updates arrive digitally signed and are verified before installation.
Disclaimers and liability
MoLock is an extra layer of protection, not a replacement for antivirus, disk encryption or backups. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for loss of data or profits arising from using, or being unable to use, the service, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Premium in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you cannot waive under the consumer-protection laws of your country.
Ending use and deleting your account
You can stop using the service at any time: unlink your PCs, uninstall the app, or ask us to delete your whole account using the contact details below. On deletion, account data, mail and files are erased within a reasonable period, except what the law requires us to keep. Deleting an account doesn't refund a serial except under the terms of sale agreed at purchase.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, where MoLock is developed, without affecting the mandatory protections the laws of your own country give you. If we change these terms we'll update this page and its date, and announce material changes in the app or by email a reasonable time before they take effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
